Install Java JDK 7 in Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise Pangolin)

1. test your java version

2. search “jdk download”

3. download jdk package

4. choose ‘Accept License Agreement’ and select your download version

5. I downloaded this version for ubuntu

6. list down your download items

7. copy jdk package to /opt/

8. decompress file

tar -xzvf jdk-7u4-linux-i586.tar.gz

9. export JAVA_HOME

echo 'export JAVA_HOME=/opt/jdk1.7.0_04'>/etc/profile.d/jdk.sh

10. export PATH

echo 'export PATH=$JAVA_HOME/bin:$PATH' >>/etc/profile.d/jdk.sh

11. make it as service

source /etc/profile.d/jdk.sh

12. test again your java version

13. finish. yeay!
